About 8 hours?

Good question... I wish more people talked about the length of the schedule. Mine is 12 hours. And I still have no clue if that's appropriate or not. The corals are growing... but I am not sure if a different length would make them happier.
I've always wondered, does growing mean happy? Would shorter but more intense lighting equal better color? If you aren't fragging constantly and have limited space, what would be the better choice?

Not that I can think of. But I have an empty little one gallon tank on my desk that I have not been able to decide what to do with.... it might be really cool to put a rainbow chalice in.
That would be fun. Do it and send me some photos of it. Would love to see it.

I definitely think this should be more of the conversation. I definitely have plenty of space currently. But, I just guessed at 12 hours.... Or maybe that was the preset length for the program I choose and I just played with the colors a bit. There was no rational thought behind it. Unfortunately

Lol. As soon as I get around to it, I will, I think that would actually be really cool.
