The ones from Florida grow slowly but very big. The Amber Sea Fan from Indonesia is fastHow fast do the fans grow? I've got 2 and don't notice growth- just health. But I bet, if i compared pics, I'd see it.

Thank you so much!! I’m a saltwater specialist at a LFS so I have a lot of resources available to me both physically and with knowledge about the subject. Plus my discount is that I get everything for 10% up from what the store bought it for so that helps lol. I got that “island” piece of live rock for $2 when it’s $15 a pound at retail price. Those are some amazing choices for a brand new tank! Good for you! They're beautiful! What is that crab?
What urchins are reef safe. I inherited a penil urchin with a rescued tank and he just stays on his one rock, as far as I can tell. There are a few cleanup crew members we are looking to get next time we order. One thing I would like to do is start breeding some of them, in particular tuxedo urchins.
Can we see a pic of the new one?I think so. We have had success cutting them for a while now. The Diablo we have is a particularly colorful variant with 4-5 separate colors. There is a new Diaseris we have now called an Insanty Plate that we paid an arm and a leg for but it is still just a frag.
Haha I just saw that sticker yesterday for the first time! And no you’re right, relatively speaking 6 months is a pretty new tankOh sorry- got my posts crossed- not a brand new tank... just new to corals. I never even saw that fish until Reefs by Steele made a sticker of one!
Can't speak on all of them, but my fave is the blue tuxedo urchins. They have done an amazing job cleaning the coralline and turf algae on our rocks. What urchins are reef safe. I inherited a penil urchin with a rescued tank and he just stays on his one rock, as far as I can tell.
Got one of those and a sea hare and 40 snails coming Wednesday for my GHA issue lolCan't speak on all of them, but my fave is the blue tuxedo urchins. They have done an amazing job cleaning the coralline and turf algae on our rocks.

That crab is a banded porcelain crab, his name is Nebula They feed with fans that filter the water the same way as a freshwater bamboo or vampire shrimp. He doesn’t come out of the little “basement” hole in the front of the main rock structure very often but that keeps my mind at ease knowing that he’ll clean up whatever food gets stuck inside the caves and prevent an ammonia spike.
I don't have any pics of the new one but if you do a google image search for TCK Insanity Plate that's it. Pectinias are a few inchesCan we see a pic of the new one?
Ok makes sense on the Diablo.
