That's the kind of encouragement I need to buy that princess peach. I've already killed in of them and I'm not ready to try again.

When I started, I didn't know that SPS or LPS meant. I just ordered a "beginner bundle" from someone in the marketplace, here. I didn't know a thing about parameters, lighting or even how to use the skimmer.

PLUS, I went back to school. No time to learn it all, either.

Almost quit for good. Decided to try again last year (or so?) and start small.... with an LPS/Softie-only plan... that lasted about 6 months...

honestly not close at all. i try to give them a lot of space so when they do grow in you have large colonies that touch. And I am talking about hammers and frogspawn. I don't like to keep torches with them at all.

I can relate. We started with a 40 that did ok but since it was in my daughter's room it didn't get enough maintenence. When we started our 120 we thought we knew what we were doing and bought some nicer corals and fish and between getting busy at work and some bad power outage have lost most of it. The tank is stable now and we've started again on the coral journey but I'm still gun shy on expensive pretty ones. I figure a hydnophora will be an easy enough sps to see if I can keep it alive for a while.
