Who's keeping these fish and can chime about them? I saw a couple at my LFS and was rather taken by them

I had 10 in the old 250. They are cool as hell and stick together well in the tank. They are mouth breeders and will produce babies to feed the tank. They will eat smaller fish (trima gobies etc...). They eat anything. I'll look for a pic.

I had a school of 18 in my old 180. Very nice fish, good decoration (not much personality), they maintain their school through adulthood. Neat to see them carrying eggs in their mouths once established. They can be delicate during the first month of keeping them, you may go through a few before establishing a healthy school. Everyone used to comment on them when they would come over because of the blue eyes. Not worth it to to get only a couple, best to buy at least 8 or so.

I have six in my 180. They are a cool fish. They do not ship well so it is best to get them after they are at the store for a couple days.

I'm waiting to pick up a trio when someone gets them in local. I like them the most out of the bangai's, and pj's. They look sik under actinics!

They are my favorite Cardinals as well - Very peaceful and will actually 'school' or 'shoal' unlike the other Cardinals. Wild ones usually have a 50% survival rate when they are first introduced to the tank though. Once they settle in, they are very hardy. General rule of thumb when purchasing these is to purchase 2x amount that you're looking to keep.

I had 12, now I have 6 in my 100g

All wild so, I guess the math worked out...
I plan on adding another 20, they are very cool when they school!

I had 3 in my 180 before it crashed. Excellent fish. They were shy for the first couple of days when I put them in but were great after that. They shoal nicely together.
