So serious question.......

My yellow coris(H. Chyrsus) is roughly 8 years old now. He only comes out for like an hour or so in the AM when the auto feeder goes off, then is back in the sandbed for the rest of the day. He used to be out all day every day, and was first in line when I hand feed frozen in the afternoon. He also used to be the tank boss, but since he's MIA all day, the blue eye kole has taken over that role.

Is it simply because he's getting old, and perhgaps dying? Or could there perhaps be something else going on? I have no idea what their lifespan is, but he was a very young juvenile female when I got him. Has since transitioned many years ago, and as of recently(maybe the last few months) has gone to this hiding behavior.

My only input is I believe their average lifespan is seven years

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask but is a wrasse in a 20G possible with a pair of clowns? If so, what species might you all recommend? No worries if not, they're gorgeous fish and I will likely end up in a larger tank eventually anyway.

Pink streak wrasse. Make sure there is plenty of rock so they are not on top of each other

I suppose first question is how nice are your clowns? Possum or a pinkie maybe if your clowns won't bother them? Or get a possum like @jkcoral and it will run the tank.

:loudly-crying-face:
I’m absolutely devastated. And it’s all my dumb fault. I knew I shouldn’t have kept this dang lionfish. I’ve been meaning to get rid of it for months.

Was she a biota as well?

Get the lion out and get a true dwarf instead.
