Guys, got two (magnificent, i think) new wrasses Cirrhilabrus solorensis and Bodianus bimaculatus , but they doesn't eat pellet yet. In the past, i've never had issues with wrasses and pellets, but these two are still not interested.

Any idea on how to move from mysis to pellet ?

Honestly, time is what will tell when it comes to training fish onto different things.

I would let it out so it isn’t third man out and gets picked on. Eventually they will transition and fight and you will have to rehome them. How large is the tank?

I'm thinking of adding a pink streak this week. The rubeus didn't make it through my QTer's QT--said he had to euthanize due to UNWD. So that's not coming anytime soon.

And I know alarm bells may be ringing but my male is almost at the end of his lifespan of 5-7 years so I’m not too worried. And if transitioning does occur I can always pull one

I’m floating the baby for an hour to make sure no aggression appears and so far 10 minutes in, they couldn’t care less about eachother.

Yellow Candy/Twin Spot hogfish. Beautiful fish, one of my favorites. I used to always have one in my tanks. How long have you had them? Usually they will get the idea that the pellets are food over time and after they’ve seen the other fish eating them. Just make sure the pellets are small enough.

You might also try leaving the powerheads/wave makers on when feeding, the movement and being suspended in the water column a little bit should entice them.

Also, maybe you could try picking up some ROE. I’ve found that to get even the pickiest fish to eat. And I think the small round shape of the eggs kinda helps them to see the small round pellets as cool to eat. But this is just a suspicion.

Possum woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Been tough talking the Tomini ever since the lights started to come on. And is showing his wrasse to everyone else too.

Well, since adding the female the two have been a PITA to photograph. However, I’ve already seen a change in colour on my male as he’s gained more white in him.

And of course, the female was always going to be a pain to photograph. But hey, she’s been accepted right into the two Halichoeres and now they’ve made a trio.

So, this brings my 4’ tank to…. 8 wrasses and my total amount of wrasses is at 11. Now to get a choati and total it to 12.
