The flamboyant is the worlds best invert, not fish. the worlds best fish is green mandarin, then theres the tasseled wobbegong. then theres megalodon. the three best fish ever. Oh man I forgot dunkleosteus. 4 best fish. love whale sharks 2.

I watched a special on PBS about that very cuddle a few days ago. I can not look at the video to see if its the same coverage though.

They are cephalopods, same class that contains squid and octopus. It also has the chambered nautilus in it's class.

very interesting. very odd and cool looking. so what the heck is it related too?

yeah, just happened to see an article on them somewhere today. saw they were related to the squid and octos. they are very cool.

I love how they have the ability to not only change the color of their skin but to change the texture. Its cool when the are on rocks, their skin looks like the rocks and its not smooth anymore.

M. Pfefferi are a dwarf species that top out at about 3 inches. Their status is unknown and they don't ever do well in aquariums so I wouldn't seek one out.

Good Luck, according to the PBS special that was on recently, they are more venomous then a Blue Ring.

We are not certain whether or not M. Pfefferi is venomous or not. Some people think that even the skin may be toxic, but further research is needed.
