If you have a 3d printer, @dantimdad has file where he made me shades for the 360s. They work great.

They are slip for onto the bottom of the light. The file does make them just a tad loose when printed, but a single wrap of electrical tape around the bottom of the light made them fit good and snug. They go from a circle to a square, as well. This makes for a nice "anti couch glare" shade.

Why am I not surprised that something @dantimdad made has to be jimmied up with some tape!?! lol

and if it's just the thickness of tape, could I print it at 98% size?
I have no idea lol. I do not do 3d printer stuff. I would guess you could, but I would also guess that it may just be that way, as when the light gets hot, the metal does expand a bit. Not really sure, but guess it is worth a try.

That is funny, but to his credit, the ones he made for my hydras are perfect lol.

So, basically what you’re saying is that stuff from @dantimdad works 100% of the time at 50% of the time? Not too bad for him! :p

So it's a friction fit at the bottom of the light? I might try both tape and printing smaller.

Correct.

On Kessils, the bottom where it goes does get quite a bit warm. I guess I could let one heat up today and then see how the spare shade I have fits. Let me turn the light on over the fuge and will check in an hour.

I Just texted @dantimdad that you’re looking for his 360 shade stl file. Maybe he’ll get it to you quickly.

Thanks for the scienc(e)ing!
Light on fuge was already on lol. It is not 9am yet, so still running it's schedule. I just put the spare one on it and it was a good snug fit around the bottom of the light.

For me, I would still do the tape, as it will allow for a snug fit when the light is cold and will not cause any issues when the light gets hot.

It doesn't fall off, but would not sit exactly level. I hate things not level. Pictures not level, furniture not level, it all catches my eye and irks me lol.
