Sad hammer pics. Any idea what's up?

Po4 could be lower: .4 everything else is undetermined. No3 usually sits around 30-40 alk alk usually around 9ish.

Only thing to be added were the fish and I haven't seen them bothering anything. I just now changed my ro filters and that needed it. That could be part of the problem.

Also haven't seen the sailfin since the above picture was taken. He found a different home I think. No reason to think anything else happened.

How's the flow? Hammers tend to like flow but they also go all "grumpy cat" once in a while when they're digesting...

@tbrown3589 we're there signs of the magnets messing with your tank before the die off?
Huge algae explosion - hair/bryopsis that refused to die even after Reef Flux treatments (multiple treatments and it still refused to go away). The big thing was rust. I noticed rust on the magnet inside the tank and on the glass - it was a lot but it wouldn't take as much to crash a 40 as a 75 I suppose. The first things to go were the Micromussa, then the Cyphastreas, and montis along the way.

Flow hasn't changed, unless the power heads are slowing down. They've beed grumpy for a few weeks now. No bailout or anything. It might be the water from the to filter. I did the math and I'm close to 3 months late on the gallon use.

I've got hair algae coming back, but just grumpy hammers and gonis. They're still extending but half what they were.

I'll try a big water change today.

My Gonis we're actually happier with the magnet leaching, it was weird. Gonis and Alves got irritated AFTER I removed the magnet.

Magnets are out. I'm not sure they are the trouble. But it was gnawing in the back of my head, so I no longer am thinking about it.

It could very well just be water quality.

Hammers still sad. I'm starting to worry a little cuz the worst one is the sbb. I will test again when I get home and have a water change ready. I will also throw some carbon in the filter; we'll see if that helps. any other advice?
I know the thing I found said PLA is cool in a tank, but I think the timing has me a little....

Do you use anything for adhesion? make sure to wash it off well. I like to use AquaNet... can't imagine hairspray is good for a reef.
I'm using the poor magnet pads for printing the BattleCorals frag protection plugs so I don't have to wash all the parts after...

Nothing for the small racks. The basket type one had glue stick. I didn't wash it so that could be a start. Carbon might help there. It also escalated with the Ruby prazi treatment. Am I answering my own question?

Today on what's this in my tank, I have these two shinys.
IMG_20221118_173331048.jpg

They are small and orange and flakey. They come and go from view but always in the same spot.

This one might be a baby rfa (small thing under what definitely is an rfa). I will protect it like it is.

I get little orange, red, pink, and green super fluorescent chips of something all the time! I feel like they might be coralline but they don't seem to spread. I've grabbed a couple of them with tweezers and they're just little pieces of crushed coral...

I have green too, but less so and I'm not sure I could get a picture of them.
