Awesome tank,, geez that PC Superman is really taking off :) So what are the plans with all those frags,,, tank upgrade down the road ? How about a pic of the WWC Black Widow,, I have never heard of that coral :)

Thanks! Tank upgrade won't happen most likely for awhile. Honestly I'd love a 40 breeder, which would imo be an upgrade.

I'm a frag reserve. I hold onto corals of my friends that are of high value (and vice-versa) in case anything happens. Say you wake up and your homewrecker is suddenly suffering from RTN, well, rakie has you covered. Since I have low room, some of these will never make it to my display, I'll just keep them in my sump frag section (Work in Progress). I actually picked up a nice large sump with a big 14x14 section I'll be using for frags. But I don't have the time to set that up yet.

As for the WWC Black Widow -- It's about a 1/2" green nub at the moment. One of the reserve pieces. Best I can do is show you a pic from the mother colony by Fraghouse Corals (FHG)

Couple pics. I must have taken 40-50 pictures today and only 2 were worth sharing.

This wannabe Homewrecker was placed too, but still not it...

OOH. I got the Frag/Sump done. Here's my Frump.

The Frump is lit by an AI Prime HD, using the AB+ settings with a tinge more white. Looks good.

Okay, they were right on that last one. But so far my fish are enjoying the flow and the pulses at 80%

I upped my flow awhile back, and all the fish showed some improvement in virility, activity, and helped lean them out (i'm an overfeeder).

Update: Okay, after much deliberation it has come time for a true update.

Everything was unhappy in my sump. I'm not sure what happened but I had STN/RTN suddenly pop up on like 5-6 corals. I lost at least 3, one or two are hanging on.

RIP
- ATL Shades of Fall
- Paletta Pink-Tip
- WT Fiji Rainbow

Ah well, these things happen!

Looks like you have the dosing line in the same chamber, that could be the problem.

Rakie,
I'm sorry :(

No problem, these things happen and I still have way too many corals.

Only in the sump?

Only in the sump. Could be from excess light from the AI prime in a tight place I thought.

Looks like you have the dosing line in the same chamber, that could be the problem.

Definitely could be, I didn't consider that -_- but I have it in the weir where water is churning, and I have a pump in the return section keeping things mixed up. So I thought I had that angle covered, but it could very well have been the problem.

So something interesting. Apparently, it's been a LONG time since I calibrated my refractometer... Slowly, it has slipped by 0.06 -- So being too lazy too check my equipment has gotten the best of me and my tank.

My Salinity was 1.020 today.. The good news is now that I realize I was being stupid and lazy, my salinity is heading in the right direction.. This means things will improve, growth will improve, colors will improve. So finding out everything is going to get better is the silver lining. Finding out being lazy got the best of me was the real lesson here.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to lube the dosing heads... sometime tomorrow-ish.

After my first couple growth threads I decided why not throw up another. Just these two for now.

First my suspect PC Superman

Next my ASD Rainbow Milli

My camera skills are meh, it's hard to get accurate color when you suck at camera! But there ya go. Growth for 2 months.
