What am I looking at?
My old Griessingeri who I thought was dead for months and then he’s every so often given a surprise appearance.

I see it now!! I love those gobies. So weird but pretty!
I know right, I love how they don’t ever swim and just crawl everywhere then look so shocked!

Well, I got a new LPS coral today, unfortunately no choati as if you didn’t know then the distributor messed up and didn’t send it.

So, let’s guess what’s in the bag (I’ll give you a clue: it looks like a firework).

And it isssss…..

A torch!! I bought it as a firework looking coral with really dull yellow and brown tentacles with amazingly neon green tips and in my tank it looks like something almost completely different! The tips are still a gorgeous neon colour and remind me of a firework still but just look at that golden colour!
Here’s a Filter photo;

And a more to the eye Glasses photo;

He’s now opening much more, and looks stunning. I love the neon green tips.

Well this is an unusual move, usually it’s the fish and Coral from the nano move up to the 4’ but this time it’s a coral moving into the nano!

So, for a while now I’ve noticed this hellfire dying down and not doing so well in my 4’ tank. So I figured I would try it in my nano seeing how well my newest torch has reacted. And obviously me avoiding any more asterinas, I dipped him… I found he has 2-3 Flatties on him. So now I’ll be adding him to the opposite side of the tank, in the back corner to try and not spread them. But hopefully he recovers as it doesn’t look like he’s completely doomed.

Well, I’ve always wondered if mandarins sleep as I’ve never seen them sleep and always see them active even an hour after lights out. Today I guess I answered the question and yes they do. I’ve also now seen some extraordinary changes in colour from both my Clown Gobies and the mandarin. The mandarin is a whitish/grey colour and the gobies go transparent.

And of course my blue star leopard has the best camouflage of them all!

That clown goby knows how to camouflage!

Also it is weird how white mandarins get at night. Thought mine was dying to hen I saw it at night once.

It’s shocking how these fish go from bright colours to almost translucent or white.

I mean, I love the rabbitfish as they show it best where they just change to browns and whites instead of their main yellows/blacks/reds.

Day one for the torch from the 4’ is looking alright (the second head hasn’t opened but I may have pulled it out too late for that head). Hopefully the second revives and doesn’t do too badly, I mean it’s out more than it was in the 4’ so I’m having hopes I removed the flatworms.

And Day 2 for the Gold. I’m still unsure what it is as it’s not dragon soul or hellfire - The top torch is hellfire. Possibly an Aussie or B-Grade HG.
