Hey guys figured I would start a little build thread since I just picked up my 93 gal cube. I am fairly new to reefing and have only been doing it for about a year. I started out with a 26 gal nano (still has all my livestock) I got from my uncle who use to be a into reefing but got out. As of now I am building the stand for the 93 which I almost have completed then its time to start getting plumbing and stuff like that figured out. Ill keep this thread updated as much as possible with what goes on with the tank and I am very excited to move into something bigger. Picture of the stand in progress and tank below.

Nice start! The stand looks great. Before you start I would first fill it with water and inspect all the glass seams for any defects. I had 2 that were bad. Second, scrap the Durso overflow drain system and go with a herbie style drain. Last advise I have is plan for a very tight sump area. Hard to fit a decent sized sump in there. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Ill have to take a look into the overflow setup and figure out what to do there.

I think im going to try the hydra 26 hd led or the radion xr15w g4. Havnt decided on one yet
I have a nicer LED black box and not getting enough spread on my 93. I am thinking about 2 qty SBReef lights with Wifi. There is no way I can swing even used Radion G3 units and have to get 2.

great start, love the rimless :) I have an older rimmed 93 with an older gen radion pro with wide angle lenses - does a good job lighting up the whole tank. I would check the par distributions on the smaller lights to make sure they can cover that tank - on memory the dimensions are about 30x30 which is a fair amount. watch the par as you head towards the outside - be mindful of having a "hot spot" in the middle with a rapid fade to the sides.

for the sump I've been getting by with a 10 gallon, hang on outside media reactor, in-sump skimmer, hanging filter sock holder, over under baffle. unfortunately no way to fit a fuge under there!

keep us posted!

I was thinking of going with the trigger systems cube 20 sump. Should be a nice fit in the stand and leave room for a fuge !!!

Added my royal gramma to my nano tank. This was probably the first fish I wanted when I started reefing and dont know why it took so long to get. He seems to be very happy and loving it.

Haven’t updated in a little while so heres a little update. First of all I finished up my stand for the most part only thing I have left to do is stain it clear. I also ordered up a bunch of parts coming so here is a small list.
Up 22 sumpro Skimz sump
Sicce Syncra silent 5.0 pump
Vertex Omega 180i skimmer
Some odd and end plumbing stuff.

Some stuff arrived today and eveything looks great. Also the sump fits perfectly in my stand with plenty of room for more things.
