Teying to solve my cold water slowing ro di down

Was thinking of filling a brute can and getting it to room temp then pumping thru rodi. I get a trickle do to water being about 45 segrees here in michigan. What pump do you think woukd work to give me 80 psi? Anyone try this and know about it

Why room temp? I run mine off the main coming into my house here in Kansas and it’s pretty cold water.

Higher the temp the more clean water you produce and waste less. Im probably getting 1 gallon for every 5-6 i waste. My water bill is killing me

Thats not a bad idea but how much woukd it heat up the water as it makes it way thru the unit?

If i can achieve 80 psi at lets say 70 degrees output might be aLot better

Change your flow restrictor in the winter to get the ratio you want.

I got a 100 gpd RODI and use an aquatec 8800 booster using the inlet under my sink in kitchen. It's still cold here in Indiana too and I get about 40 gallons in 8 hrs currently at just above 80 psi.

Just ordered the pressure gauge from brs to see what pressure my water is at. Nobody has tried the brute can to ro/di approach?

I also run the 8800 booster at ~83 psi, works great. Definitely interested in theories regarding running warmer water through for less waste however..

Need a pump to get me from brute can to ro do about 4' up at 80 psi. Def will need a dc pump to adjust it but not sure what pump could work for this.

Aquatec 8800 all the way. Can set the pressure output by the screw in front.

It'll be way more (i think with 77 degree source water it's supposed to be a 75% waste reduction?). During the warm months I was at 1to1 ratio but I was not running the extra TDS filter.
