Elos - The 3rd reason is the only reason you need. I am switching once this garbage API Kit is done. The pH and Nitrites are good though.
HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Easy reading: “RealColor” technology.
  • High precision: thanks to the use of calibrated droppers
  • NIST validation: each batch of elos reagents are validated using NIST (National Institute of Standard and Technology) samples
  • "Safe reagents": reagents and testing procedures are based on Low Risk Reagents. None of our test kits are based on Toxic Reagents.

I just got the new apex yesterday. I hooled it up last night and already have some customized programs setup. For example...my ato is automatic, with a solenoid from the house water supply to the RO unit and to the sump, using a hydor ATO. In the event of a malfunction and it puts in too much water, an overflow will drain out of the sump. That doesnt take care of the sality drop. Therefore, I programmed the apex to shut off the return at a specific point, so it will just dilute the sump water and it will overflow outside. It cant drop display water but so far.

The new apex is really cool. If you decide to get one, I found a guy that can get a good deal on them.
