I have to get my house tented for Termites. I’ve pushed this off for a couple years because of the tank. But it’s a must now..
I’m going to be doing a Heat treatment instead of fumigation because that only takes 10 hours of tenting instead of 3 days.
It’s currently slated to be 84 degrees outside hoping that that doesn’t go up.
My plan is to move my 75g under a tree in my backyard and add a cooler so it stays below 80 in the tank.
I’d do it early morning and put back in the house in the evening the same day.
My question is, is there anything I can do to make this a little easier..
Can I leave the live sand/rocks in its own bucket outside during the day, it may go to the mid 80s but will that kill the live sand/rocks?
And can I leave the actual tank. (Cheap Glass marineland tank) in the house which will be heated to 160 degrees for hours, or will that ruin it or the silicone holding it together?
And lastly, can I leave a lot of the water in 5 gallon containers in the yard where it will reach mid 80s so I don’t have to set up the whole thing in my yard.. and keep the fish in a minimum like 40 gallons of water..
It’s a FOWLER tank.
Thank you!
