I have recently done some major changes to my 120 gallon main tank. I am going to show some pics of the process then update the new look.

First is this video. Please ignore the horrible commentary and notice the first tank is the 120 gallon

Here is a couple pics from about a month ago. Pre-project.

Since then the tank was taken down. White sand is gone and Hawaiian Black sand was added. There is also now only 5 pieces of rock, 1 coco worm and a green brain coral. A Hippo Tang, A Powder brown tang, a bi-color blenny, a soon to be removed or dead six-line wrasse, a diamond goby, and a naked clownfish. Also a blood shrimp, a coral banded shrimp, a harlequin shrimp and various hermits and snails. I will try to get a couple pics of it tonight or tomorrow.

And here is the final pic of the custom coral inserts I ordered back before Christmas. The 3 pieces should be here on Tuesday.

I'll take pics after installation of coral inserts.

Thanks for sharing the video, Matt. If you add any more tanks you are going to have to charge admission.

I am so sorry I added an image and have no way to delete it. Hopefully someone can help me to figure how to remove uploaded images in a reply.

Those inserts are very bright! Don't see much of those on here, can't wait to see how it turns out.

The inserts look good matt, are you doing the back wall and overflows with them.
The tall 2 inserts in the pic are the overflow covers. As far as the back wall, I need to see how it will look with the cover first. I can tell you the I don't believe there is enough room or need to cover the back wall on the outside edges of the 2 overflows.

Oh, you're making an ATM type tank.
To tell the truth, Tanked, is where the idea from. And I called them to see if they did inserts for small home tanks and they never called back. So I found someone else. The guy that made these and me have been on the phone and passed quite a few e-mails, and he was a pleasure to deal with. I know the fake coral thing is not for everybody, but I have 4 tanks set-up in my home. I'm doing something different in each one. Also the inserts are extremely costly. But I hope they make up for that in lower maintenance and wow factor. I'll piddle with corals and reefs in my little 7 gallon for now.

I have 5 tanks up and running right now. As soon as I'm done with the tank remodeling, I'm doing, I plan on being down to 4 tanks of a total 172 gallons. I don't think people would pay to come see them, but I'll gladly charge you, Marcus. LOL!

Where did you order the coral inserts from, and how much did they cost?

Never mind, I guess I should read the entire thread first!

You have a PM. Not sure what the forum rules are on promoting non sponsor companies or linking to them openly. Maybe if someone sees this they could let me/us know.

I believe we can post links to products that are not sponsors. I believe you are ok as long as it isn't a link to a malicious, spam, or adult site.

Well the inserts came in and we had to move a ton of sand to get them in. So pardon the somewhat cloudy pictures and please be gentle to me, on getting fake corals. Remember I only faked up one tank. I got 4 more to do the old fashioned way.

Matt, I have some artificial reef food if you need any. Ok, I'm done now.

Seriously, it looks very good. That is one of the nicest artificial setups I have seen.

That's about as funny as "blinker fluid for my car". Thanx you are too kind.
