I’m sick in bed and have been for a few days. My husband is doing the best he can trying to take care of the tank maybe a week ago after a 12 to 15 gallon water change in my 120 gallon tank, I had a huge bloom. I ended up researching here and turning off my lights for three days. This made my Rose Tip mad and she moved from the spot she had been in for two months. Since she has been tiny…. But today my husband told me something was going wrong and showed me these pictures. This is my first name so I don’t have a clue. What are these brown clumps? I’m stressing because my husband left the state and won’t be back till the end of the week. Water have always been “ normal ranges” but I have not tested today and need to save up some energy…. I’ll get to that part though but if we can start with the blobs? Tank mates include tiger CONCH, tiger cowrie, Cleaner shrimp, watchman, and pistol, color, bicolor angel, fire, Fish, powder, blue tang, and hippo, tang, clowns, and a bangaii cardinal. Ty!

Turning off lights for 3 days can certainly tick off a nem, they are largely photosynthetic. Can you share a pic of the nem?

At first glance in addition to the fish you listed, my guess is fish poop. When you have the strength, a picture under white lights (or a flashlight if the lights only stay blue) would be much more helpful in identifying what they are or might be. Hope you feel better very soon!

Thank you! Just so weird because I’ve had the Fish for a while maybe four months now and I’ve never seen any poop like that except from my baby definitely will send

hey yes! I can try and get another one today. I know that pic I uploaded isn’t great. It is going to be hard I think without getting in and tilting the rock and it’s in the backside now :/

I will def be uploading one though as soon as I can climb up there :)
