TANK TALK: If you could make one thing easier in this hobby, what would you choose?
I did my first real print with my new filament yesterday. Turned out fairly decent. I'm looking forward to designing more stuff soon!It was a mix of reefing and gardening. I needed to connect a garden hose to a pond pump and for the life of me couldn't find anything that fit. I now have a dozen frag racks, random flow generators, urchin hats, dice, and many other things that probably don't need to exist but now do.
My last project has a honeycomb style cubby thing for my wife's seed collection. Current one is a hanger so I can attach my kessil lights to my radion bar (came with the tank).
Also the store credit I get for hats and whatnot never hurts.
Yes… watching you trouble shoot your 3D printer allowed me to realize I don’t have the patience or mental band width to go for it on my own. I’ll just order from people like you that are smarterI've got a good topic for @Avast Justin and @Top_Lids
TANK TALK: With the increase in availability of 3D printers and 3D print files for reef/aquarium use, is there something keeping you from getting your own 3D printer? If you already have a 3D printer, was it the reefing hobby that drove you to take the plunge or was it something else and reefing just benefits?
The new stuff work well? Better or the same as what came with the printer?I did my first real print with my new filament yesterday. Turned out fairly decent. I'm looking forward to designing more stuff soon!

Well, head on over to my thread and check the last 4 or 5 pages? The wife and I both want to get a 3D printer bit just haven't pulled the trigger on getting one yet. We both tend to start a bunch of hobbies but not always finish them. So hate to the money on something we may not use but once or twice
I've got a good topic for @Avast Justin and @Top_Lids

SO I dont know allot about 3D printers. My sisters BF has one and will normally make most things I ask him about. I was under the idea that you would just take a item place it inside and it would copy it...... and he was like nope does not work like that LOL BUT I see now it looks like the tech is getting to that point.I've got a good topic for @Avast Justin and @Top_Lids

What are you using?Better I think.
We got the Ender 3 Max Neo and it came with 250 grams of Creality white PLA. I was having a really hard time getting it to stick to the plate even with glue stick and what appeared to be almost perfect Z-axis offset. Finished that roll basically just doing calibration stuff and put a roll of Sunlu white PLA on and unclogged the nozzle almost immediately. I ran a heat tower and retraction tower, set those and had super strong adhesion. What are you using?
old school 55 hex would use to keep fish in and more opening for light
