So basically I have a 60 Gallon Breeder and as of right now it has 60lbs of Carib sea Liferock and 60lbs of Carib sea Live sand that is pretty over filtered (HOB Tidal 75 and HOB Protein skimmer suited for up to 90G).The footprint on this tank is 48.5x18.5x16. The fish I would like to have in this tank is 2 Tomini/Bristletooth Tangs,1 Onespot Foxface, 2 Ocellarsis clownfish and 1 Yellow tang. Everywhere I Read I see that these fish require up to 75-90 Gallon tanks. Well as I'm looking at 75 and 90 gallon tanks I see that the footprints of these tanks are relatively the same size as my 60 gallon breeder. Which is 48x18x21 for the 75 and 48x18x24 for the 90. These tanks are relatively the same footprint just not the same when it comes to height. Could I get away with it since I have good filtration to deal with the bioload of these fishes? Let me know what you guys think.

You can do whatever you want, you eventually will want another fish, that needs a bigger tank.

if you can afford it get the biggest tank that makes sense.

No, 3 tangs in a 60 gallon is not good. And foxfaces get very big. With that stock you would want at least a 150 honestly. You wont have room in that tank for even one of these fish…

Alright so with that being said could I do 1-2 Tomini tangs?
Maybe 1 but definitely not 2. Just upgrade the tank and it’ll open up even more possibilities for tangs if that’s what you really want.
