So I just noticed that my mimic half black tang has a deep cut in it's dorsal fin, it's In a 120 gallon tank and the only other tankmate is a yellow assessor and they've always been extremely peaceful so it's not aggression related. Tank is 1.5 years old, no water change, feed twice daily. It wasn't there yesterday. Fish does not seem to be showing any signs of stress, I added some amino acids to their food and a sheet of nori, anything else I can do to prevent infection/help healing? No3 and po4 are 0 and 0.03 (no dinos and feed regularly/heavilg, algae is absorbing most of it from the water). Any thoughts?

(Best photo I got during feeding, semi-moderate flow (reefwave 25 gyre 30 percent, good surface agitation) lights aren't that blue just haven't cleaned the glass in awhile.

Edit: I have a currently unused UV sterilizer, should I hook that up?

It will heal on its own. My marine betta has been healing from a large fin tear (trigger bit him). You can see it there. Ive just been feeding him like normal. And of course evicted the trigger. My marine betta is too special to have to deal with that!
