I just got a new Yellow Eye Kole Tang from my LFS on Sunday and added him to my tank the same night. He's not in a tank with any other aggressive fish minus a pair of clowns but they're harmless and showed no signs of aggression toward him. The tang has been swimming around very fast and sudden, making a lot of aggressive turns, etc. Overall pretty erratic. He's also not eating. I fed frozen brine shrimp and even put Nori on a clip and he didn't bite. I've been thinking it's just because of the sudden environment change and it's just nerves but looking for other opinions.

A video would help. Is it breathing heavily? Scratching on rocks? It might just be spooked and needs some time to settle in.

Not breathing heavily, and not scratching on the rocks. Like I said just erratic swimming and not eating.

Wondering if your Tang made it. Both of my attempts at a Yellow Eye Kole Tang have had this problem. Both died shortly after the erratic behavior. Other tangs have been fine.

No all good so far. He’s eating mastic’s pretty and still nipping at algae all around the tank. Swimming is still weird at times but nothing too crazy
