Well after re-aquascaping to make room for my coral, my tail-spot wouldn't leave the hole he was in so I took him out of the tank along with a few other pieces. Unfortunately he jumped out of the hole onto the carpet without me noticing and I stepped on him............... :(:(:(:(
Super sad face....

I want another one, think my fish will accept him as quickly ? I have 2 true percs and 1 mystery wrasse in a 20L.
Before saying the wrasse is in too small of a tank I am in the process of finishing my 125g which will be my wrasse haven :feel_good:

However for now the time being, think I could add another tail spot ? Maybe Midas blenny instead ? That's been on my mind quite a-bit too....
I sure do feel bad for the little guy MAN !

Sorry to hear about your loss. I think you could add another and be fine.

Sorry to hear that, they can be such buggers sometimes, I remember our first upgrade and was down to removing last fish from the old tank and realised we hadn't yet got the Blenny out! turns out he'd been hiding in the liverock when we removed it!
Just glad the liverock went straight into the new tank and not left out for any amount of time! That was 2 years ago and hes still going strong.

My eel did the same, but you expect that from them!

Good luck introducing a new one, hope it works out well for you :)

Why not wait until the 125 is set-up?

Yeah that does make the most sense, I am going to miss the little tail spot though :(

Kraylen, go bump your head on a door sill you tall.... ! Tall guy !

The tail spot was always nipping on algae, but I didn't know he did that to coral. Mine might have, but I never witnessed it :)

They're kinda like Centropyge angels, some will nip and some won't. The differece is while the angels tend to prefer meaty LPS such as brains and faviids, Ecsenius spp. will more often pester SPS.

Are Midas Blennys like this too ?
I won't be getting another Blenny for the time being, but when I do I think it will be a midas :)
Currently I only have LPS and softied in my tank, however the 125 will be a mix. So this is really good to know ! Thank you again Ike !

Midas won't bother coral, but they do need to be fed often.
