I have a beautiful ~4” Tahitian Hawkfish. I’ve had him for almost 4 years and originally bought it as a Tahitian Yellow Hawkfish (Paracirrhites xanthus). After about 2 years it turned darker and developed a dominant white stripe on its tail so it now resembles a Tahitian Flame Tail/Tuamotu Hawkfish (Paracirrhites Nisus). So I’m not entirely sure which it is but regardless it’s a beautiful and pretty uncommon fish. Eats like a pig takes everything from frozen to pellets to freeze dried. More mellow than other Hawkfish I’ve had in the past. Doesn’t seem to bully or chase other fish like my arc eye or flame did. Has been kept with cleaner or blood shrimp the entire time I’ve had him without any incidents but that doesn’t mean it won’t change. Price is $275 shipped. More pictures and videos available on request. Text 734-725-98five0 if interested.

We’re the markings on his face always the same as a Juvenile?
No. Originally he only had small blue “eyelid” markings around his eye. The red markings on the front have only become prominent the last year or so.
