Hello all salt tank enthusiasts! My name is Nic and I am currently using Kent reef salt for aquariums with fish, lobsters, crabs, snails and bivalves. Since Kent is no longer available with my supplier, I would like to know which of the following salts you would recommend using. If you need any specifics I am happy to clarify.
1) Seachem: Vibrant Sea Salt
2) Aquavitro: Salinity
3) Tropic marine: Sea Salt Mix
4) Fritz: ProAquatics Reef Pro Mix Complete Marine Salt / 5) Redline Complete Sea Salt

Thanks!

Of your listed choices Tropic Marine was a preference of mine. I switched to HW wiegandt reefer mix when tropic marine during covid had a interruption in supply chain which I still use today .

Welcome on board- and best of luck! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: Choosing the right salt is like a religion!

Luckily there is a lot of great content on YouTube on the subject; BRS have done lots of testing as well.

This will be difficult as everyone has a favorite brand.
Im currently using Tropic marin and have been for some time starting with the pro and finishing up with Actif formula.
Salinity is by far my most favorite which ive used for years but was harder to find in which I switched to Tropic Marin.

Fritz while regarded by many had its ups and downs.

Comparible to Kent is corallife if you can find it. Instant Ocean is one of the longest running in the market and used at many Public aquariums and sea Parks. Reef Crystals is its sister brand formulated for tanks with coral.

I sold all these brands at my LFS and Instant Ocean was largest seller followed by Reef Crystals and kent

Greetings and welcome to the reef! Of the ones you listed, I would say Fritz RPM. I had been using TM for years, but recently switched due to batch inconsistency. At the end of the day, though, that is just my preference. I'm sure you'll get a myriad of other responses to sift through.

Welcome to the R2R community! I actually have switched from Instant Ocean Reef Crystals to Aquaforest Reef Salt. The IO salt was good but after seeing a thread about the Aquaforest and the praise for it decided to test it. Good results so far.
