Will come back to this later - I will be out of home for a couple of days. The question is a $ 1,000,000 question but in most case - IMO - it is a myth

Sincerely Lasse

Here's some breakfast for the Cassiopeia jellyfish and some of the other filter feeders. Newly hatched artemia, rotifers and phytoplankton. And I just got news from a former substitute, who's at the university now, that our phytoplankton culture consists of mostly Isocryssis galbana! Very good news if we shall culture copepods in the future :)

This mix will not go into the Dendronephthya tank. Don't want any artemia in there. Just some rotifers but mostly phytoplankton.

A colleague talked about the hashtag "unpacking" and if we should start using it on social media. We get a lot of packages, but it usually looks something like this when I unpack things. Not sure that would be a viral success.. :p

That's what it looks like when I unbox something at home when the wife isn't around. Things are a bit neater when she is! ;)

All new lights are working! When I first plugged in the power, just 11 of 20 was turned on. I was really close to sending a angry email to the manufacturer.. But then I tried to switch the DC connection 180 degrees :D So, now all of them are alive! Glad I didn't write that email. :p

Here they are. Doesn't look that much "LED" blue IRL. I need to get some filter for my iPhone camera..

Btw, this stand with frag tanks will only be up until next summer. Then we need to take it down. Sounds crazy.. But working in a museum we're kind of used to short exhibitions, just up for 3-6 months. So all material is reusable. I won't even glue the PVC pipes

I read the divers comments and that's what he said. Many thanks
For future reference, now that I know this type dendronephthya lives in peace with this SPS coral. What's the requirements to keeping it thriving? The SPS.:)

Here's a trick, 25+ yrs doing this. PVC. Glue the outer part, after assembly, for insurance, it will disassemble when your ready to remove

We use the white tape, not sure what it's called in English. Gängtejp in Swedish:D
Just put some tape on and push it into the next pvc piece. It has worked fine for years, as long as the pressure isn't too high.

I wonder if it's teflon tape, like thin white plastic tape?

WOW I just finished all 23 pages of this thread and it has been a journey for sure.
Nice looking tanks, builds, coral colonies, fish and so on.
Thank you for sharing and for all the details you are willing to take the time to explain and discuss with everyone here.
I look forward to keeping up with this thread.
