As suggested. HOB which have been around since the 90s and perhaps earlier but best my mind can recall.

An option if tank glass allows it is to drill a hole on the back panel and use one of those ghost overflows. Much easier to get a siphon going and I think can be setup Herbie or BeanStyle depending on how quiet one requires.

do you mean not drilled? you can use a HOB overflow

how the #$%& do you have all those local reef club badges :face-with-tears-of-joy:
That's exactly what I mean. I like being in as many communities as I can manage

hob will work. if its an established tank then drilling is out of the question. make sure you get one with an emergency overflow or you may regret it later.

You can apply to all the reef clubs you want.
I only except members who paid dues to CTARS. But once you have the badge, it's there forever.

BTW, having all the badges doesn't do anything. You can still go in all the clubs threads. It sometimes does trick new members in thinking you are a well respected forum member who has the best opinions/advice.
But to me, at best, it's annoying to see all the red badges in the threads. IMO.

HOB will work. But be warned that they can lose suction and thus stop. I would drilling your tank. It is not as hard as it seems. My tank a 240 gallon tsunami, was not pre-drilled. Now it is acrylic , not glass. I went and purchased Synergy Reef's Shadow overflow. I then drilled my tank to accept the overflow. I don't have to worry about the lose of suction, and running my sump dry.
