Sump design

So I am about to nake a 40 gallon breeder sump. I really want a refugium included in the sump. Any thoughts or suggestions about the design below/attached?

why is the refugium last?
shouldn't it be filter sock-> skimmer-> refugium-> return pump

Doing it this way would avoid additional plumbing. Either way will work fine though

Refugium is last so that I can control the flow through it.

Yes, this is the way. Reduced flow, 10% of total. No need to be flushing fuge critters out of fuge.
