Thanks for the reply! I'll keep it in mind. This would be my first corals that I lose in this tank so I'm really NOT looking forward to it haha.

I just dosed the following:
9ml of "Brightwell Magnesion (100,000ppm)" which should up 60ppm of my Mg
1.5ml of "Brightwell Neo Nitro" which should up 3ppm of my No3
0.45ml of "Brightwell Neo Phos" which should up 0.03ppm of my Po4

All of my calculations were made in a very conservative manner so I don't overdose (I did the calculations for less liters than the actual volume of the tank).

I'll keep you posted!!
You typically have to exceed the recommended doses for neophos and neonitro to get good numbers. You can't really overdose it.

Thanks! I guess I'll make a test in a few hours and decide how much to dose based on that result. I'll keep you posted

You can also help lower your Alk but just adding rodi for top off instead of having any Kalk if you use kalkwasser for top off..

My xenia let's me know when my nutrients are low. Parts of it retract or don't open at all. Same with my GSP. Definitely get some N and P in your system as soon as you can. Dinos love 0 N and/or P. If you end up with dinos that'll stress your corals even more and possibly kill them.

So, new parameters:
Phosphates: 0.25ppm
Nitrates: 2.0ppm

Magnesium kept steady at 1144ppm

Everything looks as bad as before

I'm gonna add more magnesium today and tomorrow I'll add more nitrate.
I'll let you know how the corals wake up tomorrow

It might take a while for your corals to look better. They've likely been this way for a while. Keep watching your nutrients though. Getting MAG up will help also over time. Nothing good happens fast in a reef tank.

Surprisingly I did noticed a small improvement in the GSP, a few of its polyps started to open but the Xenia has not changed.
I’ll upload a pic when I get back from work.
Also, the magnesium increased to 1170-1200ppm, I’ll continue to dose in the next few days until I get to 1300

Small update:
I came back from work and did some tests:
Magensium: 1200
Calcium: 390
Kh: 11.2
Ph: 8.2

They GSP is 10-15% opened and they Xenia looks almost dead. I'm happy for the GSP and I hope the Xenia makes it

I'll add more magensium at night and i'm gonna add some more Neo nitro in a few hours

Today's update:

The GSP is way more opened and the Xenia looks a little bit better alongside both of the mushrooms.

Magensium is 1260 and i'm gonna ramp it up to 1290 through the day.

Big improvement today on the GSP and the xenia started to look a bit better!! However, it looks like a green algae is starting to take over my rock haha. Hopefully it will disappear on its own in the near future
New parameters:
Magensium 1330
Kh: 10.9

Possible EMERGENCY:
Hey ,I just opened a new thread because I just discovered that the problem might have been a broken pump that was leaking rust inside the tank, one of my turbos is VERY weak and the water started to smell funny (metallic) today (that's why I discovered the malfunctioning pump)
What do you think, Emergency water change????

PS: link to the new thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/possible-emergency-because-of-a-leaking-broken-pump.944997/

I'm thinking a 50% water change but that would probably bump my Kh up to 11s because I use reds coral pro salt. Worth the risk???

Just saw this thread and was gonna recommend you look for stray voltage or rust from busted magnet algae scrubbers or powerheads! The thing that caught my attention in the OP was the sudden polyp retraction across the board, which to me doesn't really scream chemistry (unless an ammonia spike from a dead critter or pH/alk from a faulty kalk reactor or auto-top off).

DIY auto-top offs seem to be the most common culprit for stray voltage in a tank and the small magnet algae scrubbers seem to be the most common source of rust when they degrade, but it looks like you found the issue in your pump. Glad you caught it and will check out your linked follow up thread to see how things went!
