I've had this RFA for over 2 years. He stayed at the bottom side of the tank the whole time with foot attached to the glass. He grew large and seemed content. Then a few days back disappeared. Now he has shown up at the very top of the tank next to my overfill box. I have to water change tomorrow and a little concerned how he will handle 15 minutes out of the water.

Low tide will not hurt the anemone.

I would be concerned that the anemone has decided to go looking for a new home after 2years in the same place. I would wonder if the water quality, or the flow or the neighbors were starting to bother the anemone?

Yea pretty sure conditions are ok. I speculate that one of the shrimp might be picking at it for food bits so he moved up top. I have 3 other large RFA and they have stayed put multiple years to.

Interesting. Feeding the reef is always complicated.

You can see 2 other ones in the bottom left that haven't moved. I was initially surprised that this one perched up against the side glass be he liked that spot over 2 years. Wonder if he's getting old or something.
