Hello I picked up a RFA from my LFS around 10 days ago.

They told me "all RFA's and ricordia coming out of FL are bleached due to ocean temps... All suppliers are reporting the same thing".

I paid $40 for him. I'm hoping he will eventually color up pink and yellow.

Normally I would not take on a rescue, but I know RFAs are very hardy, his foot is in good shape and was well attached. He still is well attached, but he's not trying to eat.

I've been offering food once per day (meaty chunks, some 1/4x1/4" others as small as a mysis shrimp), every day since I purchased him. He will basically cower away when stimulated. His tentacles are somewhat sticky they do grab for maybe 30 seconds but his central disc never contracts and brings it to his mouth and ultimately lets go.

He's on a vertical surface and he's seeing roughly around 200 par at the top.

The tank has been running for about 15yrs. I neglected it for around 5 yrs and got it back to respectable condition around 9 months ago.

Sg 1.026
Alk 10
Ca 465
Mg 1400
Po4 .04
No3 11
Ph 8.15
It's ulns so I dose no3.

I realize with it being ulns it's not optimal for anemones, but the one next to it in the pic is thriving.

Is there anything else I could try? Any advice?

I’ve had RFA’s bleach themselves by going under rocks for too long. They colour up pretty fast within 2-3 weeks. There’s already colour coming back in yours it looks like. One or two really good feedings is all it needs within the recovery time , no need to push it so often.
