Hi all-/
Just made an account today :) new to R2R, but not to coral reef tanks. Off and on since 2002.

I’ve started my latest tank (40G breeder) in July’22 and added rock on Aug’22. Tank is mostly SPS, but I tried to also mix other things like RBTAs, which now I’m thinking was a bad decision :p and will need to take them out since they are multiplying.. Simple system without a sump on this set up. Lighting is 4x24W T5HO.

Hope to continue learning from all of you.

Welcome to R2R! Beautiful tank! I have always been afraid of SPS! Don’t know why really, I think because of the care and parameter perfection requirements. Yours looks amazing.

I think the usual patience, consistency (I prefer this over perfection…because I’ve found SPS can adapt to multiple tanks and ranges of params and really just want to avoid large swings).

I say try with one easy to grow SPS frag. Found a photo about 1yr ago (March 2023) with tank of just frags for before/now. Excuse the cords etc…I should have put a black background behind the glass to avoid seeing all of them.

Regards.
