Hello all! Like others, I'm looking for stocking suggestions for my 65g that I'm going to be setting up soon. Not exactly sure when, but it'll be this month at some point. Of course, I'll be taking it slow, but here is the list that I'm looking at doing. Trying to get the most colors that I can for the wife. I'm planning on getting the tank cycled with Converted freshwater to saltwater sailfin mollies. Everything else would be added 1-1.5 months after each other, in pairs or groups. Ie sailfin mollies, 1.5 months later, probably the Green warpaint gobies, 1.5 months later, tailspot blenny, etc.
Thank you all in advance!

No particular reason. I could get different colors of clowns. I just love the look of them.

You have to have pretty good filtration, and I would recommend skipping the lemon peel. Otherwise, everything else looks good.

Also you might have aggression with all those goby’s.

Why cycle the tank with fish? There is no need, just get a bottle of bacteria and wait a week.
The reason being is because I wanted to introduce the sailfin mollies and slowly add the salts to get up to SG. Instead of drip acclimating for a day. No rhyme or reason.

Plan on using fluval fx6 canister filter, HOB protein skimmer, and 2 mini hand on refugiums. Hopefully that'll be enough. Wanted the Lemonpeel primarily for added color. Just added that one to the list. But it's an either/or situation with that one and the coral beauty.

Canister filters aren’t good for saltwater tanks. With that amount of fish you’re going to be cleaning it pretty often. I would just save the money and buy a good amount of live rock and one of those big marine land hob filters and you should be good. IMO I would just cycle the tank normally because you are going to be torturing those fish for no reason.

I have an extra hob Marineland filter that works for up to 55 gallons. Would that work with the protein skimmer? I also have a secondary hob filter that i could put on the opposite side, that one runs up to 30 gallons, i believe. I also have about 75lbs total of rocks, but could get more. They're all dry, cured, rock. I can postpone putting the sailfin mollies in the tank until it's cycled, I do have some dr Tim's left as well as Ammonia that I used for the current sw tank.

That should be fine dude. yeah I would definitely just cycle it and then put them in but it’s up to you.

Thx for the advice. I'll add them after the cycle. I just wanted to add them first to make sure everything is decent. Don't want to spend a grip on any other fish until I get it started with mollies and hardy coral.
