Hello,

Im so indecisive with stocking ideas I just keep going in circles. So im coming here to ask for ideas and recommendations. I own a well established (couple years old) fluval evo 13.5. I currently own 1 small biota captive bred court jester goby that I got a few months ago. But after I got him I kept going in circles of what I wanted to get.

I have ruled out 2 options for my tank. No Pygmy Wrasses, and no Shrimp Goby Pairs. Other then that I have been going back and forth on what to get. I want to have around 3 fish in the tank, but I also want them to have different colors while also being easy to feed which is what’s causing me all the trouble. Anybody have any opinions on some good options to get in there? Trying to make the tank as peaceful as possible.

Thanks in advance!
- Sam

Two spot blenny, loads of personality, eats algae.

Swales basslet or peppermint basslet, shy but colorful and not often kept

Any plans for coral and how much rock are you putting in the tank? The amount of rock will reduce water volume and you may have 9-10 usable gallons. With that, some small fish are cardinals, basslets, blennies and gobies. Many desire clowns which should be added last as they can be territorial and aggressive

Tough for this size tank for fish

Some kind of goby like a court jester, or basslet maybe a firefish or chalk bass

I have a few corals in the tank and some RFA’s I also currently own a court jester goby which I absolutely love.

I have had clowns before and they were the absolute meanest things ever, never again. Was thinking about cardinals as they are a pretty interesting looking fish.

I’ve heard that these types of basslets are on the pricier side, correct?

Yes probably around $150ish

ORA breeds a yellow one but still around $100

Royal gramma and chalk bass actually grow very large and fairly quickly. Bigger than occy or perc clownfish, otherwise I would have mentioned them.

A red firefish would add a color pop.
