Stock Tank build help

My 350g stock tank has arrived so time to start the build! I’d like to do an elevated sump, so pump inside the pond, plumbed up into the filter sock area of a sump. For the return line, I’m looking into drilling a bulkhead in the return pump chamber with a ball valve for it to drain back into the pond. Thoughts??

These numbers are surprisingly cheaper than I expected and you absolutely can buy these things over a long-long period of time like I myself have done. Just trying to show what you'll need and it's rough cost but you can also save some things for last like lighting, reactors and random jibs and jabs.

Ah thank you! I’m currently running a 180 and have a shelf full of additional equipment for this build out. The elevated sump theory is new to me though.. and want to make sure I plan the flow accordingly. Sorry for not explaining that better! Here’s my current set up
