Heyo!

Recently setup a 29 gal reef tank. I'm wondering what would be an ideal reef safe stock list for fish? I'm looking for a peaceful and colorful aquarium. Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Clowns are my personal favorites for nano reefs! I also love blennys and gobys for their fun personalities but be sure to look at the size requirement for specific blennys and gobys cause some do get quite big. my personal favorites are the tailspot blenny and starry blenny! as for gobys i love yashas and watchmen gobys but be careful cause they will rearrange the sand and might shift rockwork if its not stable. Welcome to the world of nano reefing!

True! they do get quite territorial, my singular female clown I have in my nano is quite a sweet heart and only gets mad when hermit crabs get near her house so she’s my exception!

I had one devil female clown. She jumped out of my tank multiple times to bite me and even bit me in the forehead! Evil fish. But I have 3 tanks now and each has a pair of clowns, one of them being maroon clowns. None bite me (yet). My 11 year old female darwin does get mad when I out my hand in the tank and she bumps me and flares her fins but she hasnt bitten me. I think clowns are worth the risk of them biting or being aggressive since they are classics and so cute!

Clowns are tiny but mighty! But still beautiful additions to a nano. Team clowns all the way! Definitely a smaller variety, though. :)
