I just installed Steve's LEDs on my 32g Biocube. Lights are working fine when tested & set to sim or manual mode. But every time I exit Set Up for Auto Mode the lights are switching immediately to Night. Can anyone pleeeeeease help? Note: Yes I understand military time =) , and no it's not scheduled time for sunset or ramp down modes =(

you need to set up your ramp up and down, time. that's part of the program. then, after you exit...unplug it at the hurricane box (the one that your programming), then plug it back in.

Do you have your lat/lng set for auto mode? I need to read it over again but I think that's needed.

I find this a bit confusing but is auto mode not recommended?

So yeeaahhhhhh. I had military time set to a.m. when it was supposed to be p.m. womp womp. Lights are working beautifully ~ ramp on & off w/ cloud effect (which I adore). What settings does everyone have 1 (blues) & 2 (whites) at? My tank is mixed reef ~ mainly softies, a couple LPS, & a BTA.

@saltyfins will have a better idea since they're using it to grow SPS in their tank. I still haven't settled on a larger tank for an upgrade. The one I was eyeing on FB marketplace with these LEDs is still there though. :)

I dont use that. at all, and I've had these for 3 years. but when you change the program, and exit...you HAVE to unplug it, then plug it back in.
Hello I just installed my lights from Steve’s LED’s and I HAD A VERY HARD TIME setting up the controller. Finally got it. Yo do want to use the LAT/LON/GMT. The GMT is based of Greenwich Mean time . That’s your time zone setting. That got be the issue. I’m in the east coast in NY so I’m -5. Your time isn’t configured. And put daylight savings on. I’m pretty sure that’s the problem. Don’t forget to Exit set mode and unplug and plug back in ur controller.
These r my settings and it’s working great.
  • PWM Day - Ch 1 at 1435 , Ch 2 at 1435 equivalent to 35%
  • Sunrise mode - manual
  • Sunrise at 10:30 manual
  • PWM Night - Ch 1 at 20 , Ch 2 at 0
  • Sunset at 20:30 manual
  • Ramp time 60 mins
  • Ramp Delay - Ch 1 at 0 , Ch 2 at 60
  • Cloud frequency at 0
  • Lighting frequency at 0
  • Moon phase - off
  • Fan - Min:50 Max:90
  • Lat/Lon/GMT - 0/0/-5
  • Daylight Savings - On
