Hi all, i am trying to find the best solution for keeping po4 and no3 to detectable level or even better to 0.05/5 or near to.

Skimmer running 18hr/day... Is better to keep cutting down on skimmer time and try 12hr/day or look into automating the dosing of po4 and no3 with a doser pump?

bit of background:
I have a 150lt (40g) system ( 30g display +10g sump) with a automatic filter, skimmer and refugium. I do a 1% daily AWC. Population are mixed of softies, sps, lps (not many), 2 clown, 2 pajama, 1 okinawae, 1 emycianea, 1 amboniensis and around 15 between snails, hermit and one crab. I feed with automatic feeder 2 times a day and give daily 3 quarter of a frozen cube.

I am dosing nearly daily 2ppm of no3 (sodium nitrate) and ppm 0.03ppm po4 (sodium phosphate). Not really constant as i am not constant and i want to solve that problem.

Skimmer at now is running at 18hr/day

How much/often do yo feed the fish? Do you ever target feed your corals? Maybe try sme Reef Roids, while that that will definitely get your numbers up, be careful cuz they can easily go too far up with reef roids.

I feed with automatic feeder 2 times a day and give daily 3 quarter of a frozen cube. I rarely broadcast feed corals. I am thinking to start on redsea AB+ in order to put it on a doser and go more regularly

The choices are feed more or dose regularly or dose more when you do. :)
I am a bit scared of feeding more, i am not sure if the fish could be harmed or could bring on other problems. I will see if AB+ on a doser and less hour of refugium lighting will do the trick. Otherwise i'll probably start to dose the mix on sodium nitrate/posphate in the hope it will not mess up.
