What should I use to paint a steel stand?

I just used Trimclad for this as you will not see anything I just painted... As for you I would still say Trimclad but spray it on as it will give you a better finish. Just remember you don't have to paint it all in one day.. Take your time and it will turn out great.

This is coming along nicely. Hopefully when I own a house I can venture into a big tank and do something of this magnitude. Great job!

I started with a 25 gallon Biocube and have had donesome amazing builds in my. You also do not need to own a home as there are way better tanks then this one I am building in condos and apartments.

following this one!

Great build so far!

Thanks!

Yes there is a secret :p eaither I would get the stand powder coated..

Or use Matthews paint..

Starting with a HBPT primer
http://www.matthewspaint.com/getmedia/20d9028e-f751-48ae-9626-f9f22f41417c/MPC122.pdf

and finishing it off with SOA 202SP
http://www.matthewspaint.com/getmedia/205a3baa-6e77-4ac8-9126-0b1b79df3e2f/MPC100.pdf.aspx

The issue with this is that you will need a spray booth and a HVLP system. Not to mention about $12,000 is paint :p...

I think Trimclad works just fine :)

I'm surprised no one has talked about that desk!
I was going to try and comment about the desk. I started drooling and shorted out my keyboard. :p

Best just not to think about it! :D

Quite a lot to do still but I am in full build mode now. I hope to pick up the tank next week!

So as you can tell something goes to the left and right of the I-Supra....

I had a little break to start enjoying my newest hobby :)

I have decided to clad the whole tank in opaque white and 7328. (7328 is a type of white acrylic)

More on this later :)

Base for sump is almost done!

The amount of led's used thus far :p

Man, your stuff is the work of dreams! Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship! #art

Putting a Refugium on one side and auto top off on the other?

My guess :)
