I have, what I think are sponges living under my hammer coral.

The other day I dosed coral snow, like I do on occasion(not sure this is relevant), I added a filter sock, and went to bed. It usually clears up overnight, but the lights are not on when I leave the house, but when I came home from work the tank was still cloudy and the rocks were covered in white. As I look closer it looks like the sponge(maybe) has spread all over.

There was also a ph spike over night. Peaked at 8.7. Again, not sure from what or if it’s related.

Is this sponge, and is everything that spread around the tank also sponge?

The little ones could be Pineapple sponges starting. Hard to tell at that size though.
