Hello! I've been reading this forum for a while now, and am new to the hobby (well, new to salt and reef tanks... been running simple freshwater tanks for most of my life.)

I've been slowly building my Display Tank for a few months now, and just added in a CUC from reefcleaners today.

I noticed a few of the hermit crabs have... branches? Is this just algae, or something else I should worry about before it establishes in my tank?

Much appreciate the help, and am excited to finally have living things floating (crawling) around! Thank you!

Hi and Welcome to R2R. :)

Yup to algae. Not sure of type or if invasive. You could probably reach out to reefcleaners and see what they think.

Congrats on your new system.
