Soft corals specifically leathers, are objectively the best coral to buy and own.

What's the yellow kenya nepthea looking one on the right?
A very very bright green Kenya tree … actually it was given to me by a LFS as a tiny one they literally scraped it off a frag rack and threw in a bag. I haven’t seen another one as bright anywhere else. They gave me the green toadstool front left the same way. Peeled it off the rack and bagged it for free.

Low resolution shot of one of my past tanks. Can’t beat the nice sway of a softie tank.

Sold. I have recently taken my tank from a fowlr to softy. Got a 48w reef light and am loading up on easy softies. Just put in some frags of zoa and xenia. Also a few mushys. Next is a toadstool! Thank you!

My main softies are a sinularia and green star polyps.

I would like to add some colt coral to my tank, but the local stores do not stock it. Very annoying as it grows wild along the shore, but government rules say we cannot touch it.

One store has some soft coral they call "red thistle" but I don't know what it is.

Pardon the bad picture and scratched glass, but mine has taken off and is starting to dominate the Biocube 32. I want to upgrade to a larger tank soon just to accommodate it.

I just picked out a polyp and a finger to pick up on payday. That pic just sealed the deal. I have a great spot for it!

The polyps will stick out probably .25" during the day. I hope this one gets to be as big and beautiful as the other one here! The finger and toadstool both had some bites from the fox. a much smaller finger given to me by a local reefer was eaten by the urchin. Fingers crossed on my first leathers!
