Over the past few decades, leathers are garnered a weird stigma. Almost like it’s not worth owning because they are easy and affordable. I don’t know if many people who believe this have looked lately, but leather corals are on the come back. My reasons they are the best are as follows
-Most affordable
-Most durable (buy one for life)
-Quickest growers
-Largest growers
-Easiest to propagate
-Can grow anywhere in the tank, under any type of light
-Can handle any type of flow
-Don’t need much calcium aka dosing, feeding, or even little to no water changes
-Easiest find and buy (expect for rare)
-Can grow around nearly every coral
-Easiest to place in tank
-Last one is a bit weird, but they also feel the coolest and are easy to handle
I know I’m in the minority here, but we need more variety of softies, shrooms and zoas have came around. Let’s make leathers great again!
