I juste bought a Red Sea max nano g2 xl and the protein skimmer is making so many microbubbles. The tank is 1.5 week old. Is this normal?

Check the water level in the rear filtration area.
Do you have the skimmer adjuster fully open while it breaks in?
Did you install the bubble trap sponge?
I have the ato that comes with the tank so I guess the water level should be good
No the skimmer adjuster is not fully opened and yes I have the bubble trap sponge

Turn the skimmer off just and see if the micro bubbles stop. If they do.. then turn it back on and adjust it all the way open and see if it helps.
