Hello,
I’ve got an 18” snowflake eel, who seems quite healthy, except for something that looks kinda like a tumor on the roof of her mouth. Seems to be growing.

Still eating and doesn’t seem to have changed behavior. Anyone know if there’s anything I can or should do?

How long ago have you noticed this?

It’s looks like an abscess or a tumor, depending on how quickly it progresses it may require aspiration or excision if it continues to increase in size. Unfortunately, both are pretty high risk procedures and would require an anesthetic.

Sometimes antibiotics will help shrink an abscess.
