Smooth skin acropora loosing skin in patched

Anybody seen this happen to an acro. It's not burnt tips or stn, but the skin seems to peeling off in patches. This coral has been growing like mad.

Looks to me like something (fish probably?) is taking bites out of it

I dont think anything is, its more like its growing faster than its skin or something.

Have you checked your nutrients?

My nutrients are low but phosphate around 0.06 to 0.09 and nitrates 1ppm but I dose ATI nitrogen to make up for the low nitrates. I am thinking its low nutrients tbh.

That nutrient level is not considered low for acropora. Low nutrients would be below 0.03ppm phosphate and 0 nitrates.

The skin is sloughing off. That is RTN. My guess is it will be gone by tomorrow. If you can frag a healthy piece now, I would...
