Small red, zoa looking, algae

please help identify this organism.
I believe it is algae. It looks like zoa but it is way way smaller. It grows in the the zoa too. It is light and deep red. I can easily scrub it off with a brush but I can’t get rid of it.

First and third photos have zoa in the photo for perspective.

Any chance you could get a clear, close-up, white light pic of just one or two of the specimens in question? My first though would be an octocoral like clove polyps or similar, but clear pics would help to say for sure.
