Its mostly black, maybe a little red. No spiral, sends out a white tube/string to feed. I have only seen it feed this one time but I have been watching it for a while now (I initially thought it was just part of the snail's shell or something) but it hasnt left the shell. Should I remove it?Hard to say for sure from the video, but looks like it may be a Vermetid snail - if it's a red, spiralled tube that sends out a mucus string to feed, it's a Vermetid.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a vermetid snail; it's generally recommended to remove them, as their mucus nets can irritate corals and they can reproduce to unsightly numbers (plus, their tubes are sharp and can cut your hand in the tank). Its mostly black, maybe a little red.
