I think what areefer is trying to say is not to put a fish in a tank that doesn’t make sense long term. 6 lines get mean when they reach maturity, usually a couple years in and they’re hard to catch. You may find yourself having to break down the whole tank (after corals have grown in) to get him out. I’ve been in that position for years with a royal gramma who picked off every fish in my 90 gallon and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t trap him. He had the tank to himself for about 2 years after his last tank mate passed until I finally had to move the tank to install new flooring so I took the opportunity to rehome the RG.
Good point. Are there any other wrasse that I could keep in a 29 gal because I don't love the pink streak or possum wrasse.

Honestly no…
The 3 Possums and Pink Streak are the only wrasses that go into a 30G tank without causing aggression.

Also, the pink streaks you’ve seen, have they been mature specimens or bland juveniles?
This is my old mature male Pseudocheilinops ataenia.

Here’s my younger pair of Pseudocheilinops ataenia (You can see the males colouring appearing nicely as he ages - The front is male the back is a gravid female).

And here’s a very young trio (My third unfortunately passed a few months back but I don’t want to risk adding any more to this pair).
