Should I reseal 300 g 8’ glass cages tank? It does not leak, although has flat nonsticky silicone on one corner and a chip in another corner. If so what type of silicone is ideal and can it just go over old silicone as long as it still touches glass? What about placing new pieces of glass on existing glass ends, but on inside of tank? Just want safe waterproof tank for my FOWLR.

If you don’t mine doing the work I would reseal the tank. It’s time consuming but very satisfying when finish . Removing the old silicone and cleaning is the most time consuming. That’s a large tank so it going to tank some work and time. Patient is key. Plenty of videos on YouTube to help. I have resealed tanks with pretty bad leaks with good success.
