I got this lobo a while back and noticed it had this small white spiral with the little fan coming out of it. It didn’t grow much or change for a while but then it got bigger and it looks like there are a ton of little white spots on the lobo and on my back wall. Really love this ultra lobo and don’t want to lose it. Should I be worried?

Okay that’s good news. Will this be something that is going go rampant in my tank? The day after I saw one or two on the glass and back wall, there was a ton of them all over.

Awesome thank you guys! If I did want to get rid of the ones on my coral would I just get some type of dip for the coral?

Looks like a feather duster, which are generally harmless; however, in this case, I would remove it since it's on the coral. The feather duster opening could irritate the coral if it touches the coral's flesh.

PS that's an Acanthastrea pachysepta, not a Lobophyllia. A. pachysepta can be told apart from lobos by their thicker septa (this can sometimes look like a white tooth sticking out in situ) and a flesh texture of "folds" and "warts," which is a characteristic of the genus Acanthastrea.
